Talisman Programs offer a summer camp for young people ages 8-22, a year-round boarding school for students grades 7-12, and a transitions program for young adults ages 18-24 who have learning disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorder/ Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Asperger’s Syndrome, and high-functioning autism.
Talisman is an experiential learning camp program that helps children to develop physical and social competence in an atmosphere that encourages and supports self-regulation and self-direction. In order to help all of the campers reach their potential, programs and therapies must meet them as individuals, and not attempt to fit them into one mold. Therefore, the staff uses a variety of tools to guide students as they strive to meet their objectives in socially appropriate and fulfilling ways.
